My Twins

first_lookI have fraternal twin boys who were born by emergency Cesarean section at the end of July 2014. I made it to 38 weeks and 6 days before a placental abruption took us to L&D triage in the middle of the night. I was fortunate that my babies were born healthy and required no NICU time – at birth they were 21.5″ and 7lbs 6oz and 21.5″ and 7lbs 1oz. Big guys!

They may have been the picture of health but I was not – we ended up staying in the hospital for almost a week as I recovered from severe blood loss due to postpartum hemorrhaging.

Having twins is an adventure, and a blessing and a lot of work but I wouldn’t want it any other way.
